 Family History

Why is it important  to pass down your family history? I think it is important because then you will have known what your family did for you and how it may have affected you in some sort of way. How will you keep your stories alive? I don't know yet but I will try to do things that will make me stand out in my family. What family traditions do you already have? Some family traditions my family already has is going to my aunt's house on thanksgiving and Christmas , and to go to my grandparents house the day before Christmas and on new years eve. How do you want to be remembered? I want to be remembered for how kind I am to everyone in my family and how generous I am towards them. What do you know about your family history? Something I know about my family's history is that on my moms side my great grandfather changed their last names because when they were in Mexico some people did not  like people with certain names and started hurting them for it.  Where are you from? Where is your family from? I am from Oceanside California. My moms side of the family is from Oaxaca Mexico she has 9 siblings, she has 6 sisters and 3 brothers. And on my dads side of the family they came from Guatemala and he has Six brothers. What don't you know about? What do you wish you knew? I don't know how my dads side of the family came to america. And I wish I knew how they were able to come. I also wish I knew how my mom and dad met each other. Who are you thinking about interviewing? Why? I am either thinking about interviewing my grandma or i am going to interview my mom for this project
